Image SEO for Websites
When putting Images onto a webpage it is best to follow certain pixel sizes and image file size. This page helps you with all those sizes
It is best to optimize your Images
Image dimension (Width and Height are in pixels).
Image File (Kilobytes KB or Megabytes MB)
Image Format (Jpeg, Png,)
Jpeg is best for most Images.
Png is only used on transparent Images.
It is best to optimize your Images. The larger the image in file size (KB) the longer it take for it to load on your page. The longer it takes to load the less people will wait around to let it load. Usually I try not to go over 120KB on any of my images.
Header
I use Twitter size 1024 x 512
Image file size 100KB
Full-Screen
A large image that is used as the main background
It is best to use 1200px or 1400px for Image width
Image file size 200KB to 100KB
Full-width contained Images
It is best to use 1200px for Image width
Image file size 100KB to 75KB
Half-width Images
It is best to use 600px for Image width

Thumbnails Images

If the Thumbnail is a clickable image that will be opened up into a larger lightbox then it should be the same as the Full-width contained images at 800px wide
This Image SEO is more difficult for Weebly since Weebly changes everything when uploading images. Though it is a good practice to have a SEO Image File Name even in Weebly.
